2.It prevents neck pain

Sleeping without a pillow can keep your head flat. This may reduce some stress on your neck and promote better alignment. But this doesn’t apply to other sleeping positions. If you sleep on your back or side, sleeping without a pillow may do more harm than good.

Cotton pillowcases zap your skin of moisture and essential oils it needs to stay youthful and plump. This, in turn, can result in scaling and peeling, making your skin less healthy over time.

4.It way be better for your hair

If you’re waking up in the morning with dry and tangled hair, you might want to forgo your pillow for the sake of your locks. When you’re tossing and turning at night, your hair is rubbing against your pillowcase, causing it to break. Pillowcases can also absorb the oils from your hair, leaving it dry and brittle.

5.It may prevent skin Irritation

If you have sensitive, acne-prone skin, sleeping on a cotton pillowcase might not be the best choice. Cotton is too rough on the skin, and the friction from it can irritate delicate skin, worsening the existing skin conditions

5 Effective Ways to Kiss Anxiety Goodbye And Stop Anxiety Attacks

1.Follow the 3-3-3 rule

Look around you and name three things you see. Then, name three sounds you hear. Finally, move three parts of your body — your ankle, fingers, or arm. Whenever you feel your brain going 100 miles per hour, this mental trick can help center your mind, bringing you back to the present moment

2.Deep Breathing

You can try belly breathing

  1. Sit or lie flat in a comfortable position.
  2. Put one hand on your belly just below your ribs and the other hand on your chest.
  3. Take a deep breath in through your nose
  4. Let your belly push your hand out,Your chest should not move.
  5. Breathe out through pursed lips as if you were whistling. Feel the hand on your belly go in, and use it to push all the air out.
  6. Do this breathing 3 to 10 times. Take your time with each breath.

Or try Roll brething

Roll breathing helps you to develop full use of your lungs and to focus on the rhythm of your breathing. You can do it in any position. But while you are learning, it is best to lie on your back with your knees bent.

  1. Put your left hand on your belly and your right hand on your chest. Notice how your hands move as you breathe in and out.
  2. Practice filling your lower lungs by breathing so that your “belly” (left) hand goes up when you inhale and your “chest” (right) hand remains still.
  3. When you have filled and emptied your lower lungs 8 to 10 times, add the second step to your breathing: inhale first into your lower lungs as before, and then continue inhaling into your upper chest. Breathe slowly and regularly. As you do so, your right hand will rise and your left hand will fall a little as your belly falls.
  4. As you exhale slowly through your mouth, make a quiet, whooshing sound as first your left hand and then your right hand fall. As you exhale, feel the tension leaving your body as you become more and more relaxed.

Take an ice cube in your hand and hold it for as long as you can. Then put it in your other hand. This can help you focus your attention on the discomfort you’re feeling because of the cold and not on the panic attack, thus minimizing it. And if you’re not at home or don’t have ice nearby, you can always carry some sour candy with you. They can have a similar effect.

10 Hacks for a Good Night’s Sleep

Let’s face it. Sleep is a big part of our lives — even if we’re not getting eight hours — but there’s more to it than you might think. If you’re having problems getting enough sleep or have an injury, there’s more to it than laying down and catching some Zzz’s.

1.Find the correct position

THE FETAL POSITION

a girl sleeping in a fetal position

The baby, or fetal sleep position, is where a person sleeps on their side with their legs curled up underneath them. This is the most popular sleep position of all.Not only is it great for lower back pain or pregnancy, sleeping in the fetal position can help reduce snoring. Unfortunately, sleeping in the fetal position does have a few downsides. Make sure your posture is relatively loose, otherwise your comfy position could limit deep breathing while you snooze

SLEEPING FLAT ON YOUR BACK

Sleeping on your back offers the most health benefits. Not only does it make it easiest to protect your spine, it can also help relieve hip and knee pain. sleeping on your back uses gravity to keep your body in an even alignment over your spine, which can help reduce any unnecessary pressure on your back or joints. A pillow behind your knees may help support the natural curve of the back.Although it can be difficult for anyone who struggles with snoring of sleep apnea

SLEEPING ON YOUR STOMACH

a girl sleeping on her stomach

Although sleeping on your stomach can reduce snoring and diminish sleep apnea, it’s also taxing for your back and neck. That can lead to poor sleep and discomfort throughout your day. According to the Mayo Clinic, sleeping on your stomach places a strain on your back and spine. This is because most of your weight is in the middle of your body. This makes it difficult to maintain a neutral spine position when you’re sleeping. Stress on the spine increases stress on other structures in your body.

So,The bottom line is that the most healthest sleeping position is sleeping on your back. Sleeping on your back can lead to a sore lower back as well. There is one big pro to this position, though: It can help acid reflux. Make it better: To help avoid aches in this face-up position, place a pillow or rolled-up towel under your knees but sleeping on your side is just as good.

2.Try yoga breathing exersises

Try the 4-7-8 method

  • Allow your lips to gently part.
  • Exhale completely, making a breathy whoosh sound as you do.
  • Press your lips together as you silently inhale through the nose for a count of 4 seconds.
  • Hold your breath for a count of 7.
  • Exhale again for a full 8 seconds, making a whooshing sound throughout.

There are yoga poses to which help reduce stress and help fall asleep,Here are the top 3:

THE CHILD POSE

The child pose
  1. Kneel on the floor with your toes together and your knees hip-width apart.
  2. On an exhale, lower your torso between your knees. Extend your arms alongside your torso with your palms facing down.

THE HERO POSE

the hero pose
  1. Kneel on the floor (use a folded blanket or bolster to wedge between your calves and thighs if necessary), with your thighs perpendicular to the floor, and touch your inner knees together.
  2. Slide your feet apart, slightly wider than your hips, with the tops of the feet flat on the floor. Angle your big toes slightly in toward each other and press the top of each foot evenly on the floor.
  3. Exhale and sit back halfway, with your torso leaning slightly forward.
  4. Turn your thighs inward and press the heads of the thigh bones into the floor with the bases of your palms. Then lay your hands in your lap, one on the other, palms up, or on your thighs, palms down.
  5. Firm your shoulder blades against the back ribs and lift the top of your sternum like a proud warrior.
  6. At first stay in this pose from 30 seconds to 1 minute. Gradually extend your stay up to 5 minutes. To come out, press your hands against the floor and lift your buttocks up, slightly higher than the heels. Cross your ankles underneath your buttocks, sit back over the feet and onto the floor, then stretch your legs out in front of you.

THE COBRA POSE

the cobra pose
  1. Lie on your stomach, toes pointing straight back, hands underneath the shoulders, elbows close to the body. Legs engaged, pull the belly in and up
  2. As you inhale, lift your chest from the back of your heart. Roll the collarbones up and firm the shoulder blades into the upper back, slightly down along the spine
  3. Lift your head last. Open your heart, with no weight in the hands yet. Extend out through the toes
  4. Come down again as you exhale. Repeat that two times

3.Try a DIY “sleepy dust” recipe

It’s the middle of the night and you just woke up for no reason. An hour has passed and you are still awake. You are suffering from a case of insomnia. Want an insomnia cure that can actually work? Taking a small dose of this homemade sleepy dust recipe made with special sugars and salt just might bring on some much-needed ZZZZ.

  • 5 Tablespoons organic cane sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon sucanat/rapadura (this is completely unrefined sugar cane juice, with all minerals intact)
  • 2 teaspoons real sea salt

Put the mixture in a baggie or a small container, and shake well. The sucanat has a tendency to separate from the rest, which is why you can’t use only sucanat and salt—the salt sinks to the bottom and doesn’t “stick” with the sucanat granules. But it does add a nice flavor, and a little boost of minerals, too! You can add more salt, if you can handle it. Many people recommend a 1:5 salt-to-sugar ratio, but I find that that’s too much salt for me. Experiment to see what works best for you.

Now, keep this handy by your bed where you can easily reach it in the middle of the night. You can use it before you go to bed to de-stress and get ready for sleep, and when you wake up in the night.

To use it, just keep a small spoon nearby and scoop a tiny bit out, then let it dissolve under your tongue, to get it straight into your bloodstream. You really only need a small pinch. I’ve even skipped the spoon and just stuck a wet finger into my little sleepy dust container and licked it off, and that works, too. Puts you back to sleep in no time!

3 Easy Methods to Get Rid Of Stress

a picture of a hand trying to pop a balloon with the word stress

We have all felt it. The fear-inducing burden of stress that makes hearts race and palms sweat. The definition of stress is a specific response by the body to a stimulus, which disturbs the normal physiological equilibrium of an organism. That’s a mouthful. I think of stress as the weight that sits on my shoulders, the presence of an impending disaster or deadline that lurks just around the corner.  It’s the race to get everything done before life falls apart. I’m sure you all know that feeling, because stress is not biased in whom it chooses to victimize. Here are some ways to stop feeling stressed

1.Write it Down

2.Yoga

3.Stop your flow of thoughts

HOW TO MEDITATE:

  • Find a place
  • Set a time limit. If it is your first time 5 to 10 minutes would be enough
  • Notice your body you can sit with youe legs crossed or any position which you can stay in for quite a time.
  • Feel your breath
  • Try to notice when your ming has wondered
  • Close with kindness
  • When you’re ready, gently lift your gaze (if your eyes are closed, open them). Take a moment and notice any sounds in the environment. Notice how your body feels right now. Notice your thoughts and emotions.

A LOW WASTE SKIN CARE ROUTINE RULES

  • Don’t wash your skin in the morning. This not only saves on the product it also lets your skin retain mouisture
  • Don’t exfoliate more than 2 times a week. This lets your skin enough time to recover
  • Keep your skincare in a cool and dark place to prolong the shelf life
  • Replace your cleanser with coconut oil
  • To replace your exfoliant you have two choices;Clay masks to cleanse and purify the skin or groung oats mask. Oats are simply amazing for the skin: very gentle, nourishing and so versatile. When mixed with water for 5-10 minutes, they release anti-inflammatory and antioxidant substances called avenanthramides, which are very soothing to the skin.
  • You can replace your toner with rose water

With so many “amazing” skincare ingredients packaged in plastic, a zero waste approach to skincare might feel like you are missing out on the opportunity to have beautiful skin. Yes, your skin needs a lot of different substances to be healthy and glowing, that much is true.

But there’s a catch. Saying that a substance A is necessary for beautiful skin doesn’t translate into skin benefits of a skincare product with the substance A.

See the difference? Your skin cells are able to utilize many of these wonder substances only in the deep layers of your skin, where skincare products can’t penetrate.
